The weekend will be an intensive immersion into principles of behavioral economics with the top experts. We’ll spend focused time on each of the principles – you’ll get a chance to hear about it from the professors and work through interactive guided exercises.

Friday Day 1:

   6:00– Networking Check In

   7:00 – Intro Dinner

   8:00 – Dan on Behavioral Economics importance.

Saturday Day 2:

   7:30 – Yoga Outside

   8:00  – Breakfast  open

   8:30 –  Case study examples

   9:00 – Path of Least Resistance

   10:00 –  Key Behaviors

   10:30 – Startups working sessions/ Authors session with professors

   11:30 – Sign up flow examples

   12:00 – Lunch Challenge

   1:00 – Pricing Leif

   1:45 – Pricing Dan

   2:30 – Working Session / Authors free time

   3:15 – Review Pricing examples

   3:30 – Social with Mike

   4:30 – Break + 1:1 time /  Authors free time

   6:10 – Testing best practices (optional for authors)

   7:00 – Dinner and Talk: Dishonesty

   9:00 – Drink at local Bar

Sunday Day 3:

   7:30 – Yoga +  1:1 time

   8:00 – Breakfast  open

   8:30 – Round Robin Intros

   9:00 – Loss/Endowment/ Ikea with Dan

   10:30 – Trust with Mike Norton

   12:00 – Lunch

   1:00 – Incentives

   1:45    Working Session / Authors free time

   2:30 – Incentives examples

   3:00 – Emotion + Concrete and Specific

   4:00 – Wrap up

   5pm – End.  Shuttle to city leaves

 

Throughout the weekend there will be breaks, but not long enough for you to leave and come back. While we won’t take away your phones, the hope is that we’ll able to focus on your company without the normal distractions.

 

What should I bring?

  • An experimental mindset
  • Noting taking material (pen, paper, typewriter)
  • Printed screenshots of your application
  • Your top 1-3 questions your team is struggling with right now
  • Warm clothes (it gets chilly at night)
  • Yoga Mat if you want to do yoga in the morning

San Francisco International Airport (SFO) to Cavallo Point (driving)

  • Approximate time: 30 minutes
  • To exit SFO, take Highway 101 north toward San Francisco (continue on US-101 for 1 mile)
  • Exit onto Interstate 380 west toward San Bruno (2 mi)
  • Exit onto Interstate 280 north toward San Francisco (6 mi)
  • Stay left at the fork onto Route 1 north following signs for 19th Ave/Golden Gate Bridge
  • Make a slight left onto 19th Ave (3.4 mi)
  • When passing through Golden Gate Park, stay right as 19th Ave becomes Park-Presidio Blvd (3 mi)
  • Stay straight to merge onto US-101 north and cross Golden Gate Bridge (2.2 mi)
  • Take second exit after bridge toward Alexander Ave
  • Stay right to immediately merge onto Sausalito Lateral Rd (.2 mi)
  • Make first left onto Bunker Rd (.2 mi)
  • Turn right to stay on Bunker Rd, do no pass through tunnel (.6 mi)
  • Follow Bunker Rd down hillside, at the stop sign turn right onto Murray Circle (.3 mi)
  • Stay left to follow Murray Circle around toward Cavallo Point reception

Downtown San Francisco to Cavallo Point

  • Approximate time: 20 minutes
  • Exit Union Square parking garage by turning right out of Geary St exit (continue on Geary St for .8 mi)
  • Turn right at Van Ness Ave (1 mi)
  • Follow traffic by turning left onto Lombard St (1 mi)
  • After 1 mile, Lombard St veers right to become Highway 101 north, continue to follow signs for Golden Gate Bridge (4 mi)
  • Cross Golden Gate Bridge (no toll northbound)
  • Take second exit after bridge toward Alexander Ave
  • Stay right to immediately merge onto Sausalito Lateral Rd (.2 mi)
  • Make first left onto Bunker Rd (.2 mi)
  • Turn right to stay on Bunker Rd, do not pass through tunnel (.6 mi)
  • Follow Bunker Rd down hillside, at the stop sign turn right onto Murray Circle (.3 mi)
  • Stay left to follow Murray Circle around toward Cavallo Point reception
